The Blues Clinch a Spot in the CCL Playoffs with a 7-4 Win Against the Philippines
Collecting nine hits, with two players going 2-for-3, the Blues found the win column after troubles on the road.

With the win tonight, the Blues clinched their spot in the playoffs as they currently sit second in the CCL North behind the Walnut Creek Crawdads.
Two Blues players went 2-for-3 on the night, with five other players collecting hits. Cesar Chavez collected two hits with one double and scored twice. Captain Brendan Comerford was the player of the game, collecting two hits, scoring once, driving in two runs, and stealing one base.
When asked what fans can expect out of the Blues' home playoff games, Comerford was excited for them.
"We're going to be fired up," Comerford said. "Hopefully we win out and the Crawdads lose one and we're in for the one seed."
The pitching staff survived the Philippines' eight hits on the night, only allowing four to come across the plate.
Matthew Bettencourt was tagged as the winning pitcher after entering the game in the second and going 5.0 innings, only giving up one run. Bettencourt gave up six hits while striking out five and not allowing a walk. Michael Rodriques and Chance Jasso also entered, with Rodriques only giving up one run and Jasso putting up zeros with one K in his inning of relief.
The Blues will face the Conejo Oaks in a one-off road game in Ventura, California. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m. at Ventura College as the Blues look to take the top spot of the CCL North.
